Position Overview:


The Senior Manager - Finance & Accounts will lead the financial management, accounting, and compliance functions for the organization, ensuring fiscal discipline and operational efficiency. This role is pivotal in driving financial strategy, overseeing global billing and collections, and supporting business scalability for a dynamic IT services environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management & Reporting


Oversee day-to-day accounting and finance operations across domestic and international entities.
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards (Ind AS / IFRS).
Manage consolidation of group financials and coordinate statutory, internal, and tax audits.
Prepare and review management reports, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and variance analysis for leadership review.

Revenue Management & Cost Control


Oversee project-based revenue recognition in line with contract milestones, T&M models, and SaaS-based billings.
Monitor profitability by project, customer, and geography; ensure optimal cost allocation and utilization.
Implement effective credit control and collection mechanisms to manage working capital.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis


Develop and manage annual operating budgets, forecasts, and rolling financial plans.
Analyze revenue and expense trends, identify areas for cost optimization, and provide data-driven insights to support business decisions.
Support leadership with strategic financial modeling and scenario planning.

Taxation & Statutory Compliance


Ensure timely compliance with direct and indirect tax regulations (Income Tax, GST, TDS, etc.).
Manage FEMA, transfer pricing, and international tax compliances for overseas transactions and entities.
Liaise with external consultants, auditors, and statutory authorities as required.

Treasury & Cash Flow Management


Oversee cash flow planning, foreign remittances, and fund allocation for domestic and global operations.
Manage banking relationships, foreign currency transactions, and payment gateways.
Ensure effective utilization of funds and monitor customer collections and vendor payments.

Systems, Processes & Automation


Strengthen internal controls, accounting processes, and approval workflows.
Drive automation and process improvement initiatives using ERP systems (Zoho Books, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
Implement dashboards for real-time financial performance tracking and reporting.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration


Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounts team for consistent performance and accuracy.
Partner with delivery, HR, sales, and operations teams to align financial goals with business objectives.
Support management in client negotiations, pricing validation, and proposal financials.

Qualifications & Experience:


Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost Accountant (ICWA) preferred; MBA (Finance) may also be considered.
10-15 years of progressive experience in Finance & Accounts, with at least 5 years in an IT/ITES environment.
Strong understanding of project-based accounting, global billing, and revenue recognition models.
Experience handling international entities, cross-border transactions, and multi-currency operations.
Hands-on experience with ERP systems and financial automation tools.
