Job Description


Job Category: Management- Products and Solutions - Engineering:Project Planning & Initiation

  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project schedules, resource plans, and cost estimates.
  • Review HVAC design documents to assess constructability and efficiency.
2. Technical Know How in Execution
  • Evaluate and finalize technical submittals for HVAC equipment
  • Perform HVAC calculations: cooling/heating loads, static pressure, pump head, ESP calculations, and airflow balancing.
  • Apply advanced design tools: CFD Analysis, Seismic Analysis, HAP, Carrier E20-II, Duct Sizer, Pipe Sizer, AutoCAD MEP, Revit
2. Execution & Coordination
  • Interpret and validate HVAC system designs, Piping design, chilled water systems ,
  • Ensure HVAC system compatibility with building architecture, structural elements, and other MEP services (firefighting, plumbing, electrical).
  • Review and optimize system design for energy efficiency, equipment sizing, redundancy, and lifecycle cost.
  • Supervise and coordinate site execution activities including ducting, piping, insulation, and equipment installation.
  • Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams (design, procurement, site engineering).
  • Conduct regular project meetings to monitor progress, resolve issues, and align team efforts.
3. Budget & Cost Control
  • Prepare project budgets and monitor cost throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through value engineering and efficient procurement.
  • Approve invoices and track project cash flows.
4. Quality Assurance & Compliance
  • Ensure all HVAC work meets client specifications, safety standards, and regulatory codes (e.g., ASHRAE, ISHRAE, NBC).
  • Conduct QA/QC inspections and facilitate third-party audits if required.
  • Implement corrective actions as needed to maintain quality.
5. Stakeholder Communication
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Provide regular project status updates and ensure transparency in communication.
  • Manage client expectations regarding timelines, costs, and outcomes.
6. Commissioning & Handover
  • Oversee testing, commissioning, and final handover of systems.
  • Prepare and submit close-out documents including as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and warranty certificates.
  • Ensure proper training is provided to end users on system operation and maintenance.
Key Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems (chillers, AHUs, VRV/VRF, ducting, piping). Liquid cooling is added advantage.
  • Excellent project management skills including scheduling (MS Project, Primavera), budgeting, and risk management.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting HVAC drawings and specifications.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to work under pressure.
Educational Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or related field.
  • Project management certification (PMP or PRINCE2) is an advantage.
  • Training or certifications in HVAC design or energy management are beneficial.
Experience Required:15+ years of experience in the HVAC industry, with at least 3-5 years in project management roles.
  • Experience managing medium to large-scale Data centre, Industrial, commercial, residential, or industrial HVAC projects.
