As a Senior Manager, for Information Security Governance and Oversight (IGO) Chief Administrative officer (CAO) you will be responsible for overseeing and guiding all program and portfolio management activities in alignment with Agile ways-of-working.

Additionally, this role involves managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering collaboration and communication to achieve cybersecurity goals. You will also be responsible for identifying and implementing best practices to improve project delivery and drive continuous improvement within the department. Oversee and coordinate the Issue Management Governance and audit and regulatory engagements involving Infosec domain in the region.

Identifies training and development needs and establishes performance standards. Oversees significant resources for the Business Unit and exercises strategic budget and administrative control over planning and project management. Focus on role is on ensuring the execution of strategic direction of business function activities. Displays a balanced, cross-functional perspective, liaising with the business to improve efficiency, effectiveness and productivity. You will work with leaders across technology, risk, audit, and business units within Northern Trust and play a vital role in establishing and maintaining a highly effective IT control environment.

Major Duties

Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate communication between project teams, stakeholders, and leadership. Keep stakeholders informed of project status, risks, and dependencies to ensure alignment and manage expectations. Serve as a central point of contact, liaising between the CAO and other internal stakeholders across technology, risk, audit and business units within Norther Trust.

Budgeting and Finance: Assist in budget preparation, financial analysis, and expenditure monitoring, ensuring financial objectives are met and resources are utilized efficiently.

Decision support: Provide critical support in decision-making process by conducting research, preparing reports to senior management and other corporate oversight committees, and offering informed recommendations.

Strategic planning: Support the development of the division\'s strategic plan, as well as space and location strategy across business unit. Contributing valuable insights, analysis, and recommendations.

Project management: Assist project managers in planning, executing, and monitoring project activities. Provide administrative support, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas Oversee and coordinate key projects on behalf of the CAO, ensuring deadlines are met and financial and operational progress are communicated. Maintain risk management and compliance programs and activities for the unit.

Team leadership: Promote a positive work culture and foster professional development within the team.

Documentation Management: Maintain project documentation, including project plans, important packs / artifacts, status reports, and tracking registers. Ensure documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible to project stakeholders.

Tool Administration: Utilize tools such as O365, SharePoint, Confluence and Azure DevOps (ADO) to track project progress, manage tasks, and collaborate with team members. Maintain project dashboards and reports to provide visibility into project performance.

Reporting and Analysis: Generate reports and analyze project data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement. Present findings to project stakeholders using PowerPoint presentations and other communication tools.

Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and streamline project management processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Identify areas for automation and implement tools or workflows to optimize project delivery.

Knowledge/Skills

Excellent communication, interpersonal, written and presentation skills, with the ability to interact confidently with individuals at all levels of the organization.

Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Understanding and exposure of information security, IT audit and/or IT risk management principles.

Knowledge of business strategy development to provide long term planning and to manage the profitability performance.

Extensive business experience and broad functional expertise, with focus on risk and control functions and proactive strategic leadership

Highly flexible and adaptable to change, technology forward thinking

Knowledge of Northern Trust global business structure and various business segment

Experience Required

A Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or a related discipline with 15+ years of experience.

Some exposure and experience around technology risk management, Infosec, control functions, audit services experience, or similar experience with transferable skills. Financial Services industry experience is a plus.
