Purpose of the role and the team

Team: Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacometrics (CP&P) team will focus on integrating and supporting applications, tools, and platforms related to Pharmacometrics, Data Science, Quantitative Systems Pharmacology (QSP) and Physiologically Based Pharmacokinetic modelling (PBPK) areas within CP&P.

This includes scientific tools that perform routine PK/PD analysis, creating analysis ready data sets, compartmental models, and mechanistic modeling. The product suite includes in-house applications, COTS, SAAS/PAAS, scientific modeling and simulation tools, as well as open-source tools.

Role: CP&P Technical Lead will be responsible for managing the CP&P offshore team. This product team will consist of software developers, tier 2/3 support engineers, and validation/testing resources. This team will manage all tools, applications, and platforms related to CP&P product suite. In this role, you will manage all the activities of the offshore team and collaborate with onshore team. Ensure compliance with organizational and industry standards, policies, and regulations. Continuously improve processes and applications based on feedback and business requirements.

• Will manage enhancement requests within release schedules, interim workaround, application life-cycle management and assist with new product evaluations.
• Will work with other internal IT (LDAP, AWS, Info Security, ITQM/ITQA, Scientific Computing Services, and storage teams), and external vendors (MathWorks, AWS, and other partners).
• Do design and code reviews with the delivery team members.
• Advocates and enhances the Agile software development lifecycle
• Ensures proper documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code from the team.
• Collects, analyzes, and summarizes development and service issues

• Master\xe2\x80\x99s or Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Computer Science and Software development
• 10+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience as an applications developer and a team lead in private, public, government or military environments \xe2\x80\x93 (large and small projects)
• 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience configuring and developing software leveraging Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacometrics modeling and simulation.
• Strong leadership and software development skills related to CP&P product suite.
• Experience with AWS run cost optimization techniques.
• Experience with AWS burst computing, in memory columnar database such kdb+, Q, Q APIs, Julia and C++
• Well versed with Agile Development methodologies and all aspects of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Good working experience building and enhancing custom applications and managing PAAS/SAAS and COTS applications.
• Familiarity with system integrations and APIs
• Transferring functional to technical requirements
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong documentation, and presentation skills
• Self-motivated and a strong leader responsible for a successful build, test, and support team.
• Familiar with various IT and PM tools \xe2\x80\x93 JIRA, RTC etc.
• ITIL certified
• Proficiency in one or more of the following areas: UI/UX Design and Development, Cloud (AWS/Azure), work with SaaS / PaaS products
• Proficient in Microsoft Project, MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook #HYDIT
