Job Description

Position : Sr. Manager/ AGM - Purchase (Mechanical & Electrical)Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Procurement:

Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies for M&E items. Prepare and issue Request for Quotations (RFQs) and Request for Proposals (RFPs). Participate in Online bidding & reverse bidding

Vendor Management:

Identify, evaluate, vendor performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations. Manage vendor empanelment and conduct due diligence.

Negotiation and Cost Control:

Negotiate contracts, prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules to secure favorable terms. Analyze market trends to optimize costs.

Operations and Collaboration:

Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring compliance with company policies and quality standards. Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., engineering, production, finance, quality & Store) to forecast requirements and resolve issues.

Technical and Quality Assurance:

Review technical drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and specifications to ensure accurate material selection & meet quality standards.

Qualifications and Skills

Education:

Bachelor's/ Diploma degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Materials Management, or a related field is often preferred.

Experience:

Proven 15-18 years of experience in purchasing, particularly for mechanical and electrical items in a manufacturing or projects-based environment.

Skills & Preference:

Excellent negotiation & strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in procurement software (SAP) and MS Office Suite. Experience in Paper/Sugar Industry

: INR 15-18 LPA
