Job Description

The AP Senior Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end accounts payable process, with a focus on managing the relationship and performance of an outsourced service provider. This role ensures operational excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement through a robust governance framework.

Key Responsibilities:



Operational Oversight:



Manage the outsourced AP provider to ensure timely and accurate invoice processing, payments, and issue resolution. Monitor service level agreements (SLAs), key performance indicators (KPIs), and compliance with contractual obligations. Serve as the primary point of contact between internal stakeholders and the outsourcing partner.

Establish and maintain a formal governance structure including:

Regular operational reviews

(weekly/monthly) to assess performance and address issues.

Quarterly strategic reviews

to evaluate service delivery, innovation, and alignment with business goals.

Escalation protocols

for resolving service disruptions or compliance concerns.

Change management processes

for system updates, policy changes, or scope adjustments.

Financial Controls & Compliance:



Ensure adherence to internal controls, SOX compliance, and audit requirements. Oversee AP reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close activities.

Process Improvement & Automation:



Drive continuous improvement initiatives with the outsourcing provider. Identify opportunities for automation and digital transformation.

Stakeholder Engagement:



Partner with internal departments (e.g., Procurement, Treasury, Finance, Business team) to ensure alignment and resolve issues. Communicate effectively with senior leadership on AP performance, risks, and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 10+ years of AP experience, with 3+ years in leadership. Strong understanding of AP processes, ERP systems and governance frameworks. Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and drive performance. Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
