Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced

Senior Java Developer

to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Java technologies, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance applications while mentoring junior developers and contributing to the overall architecture and best practices of the team.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, test, and deploy Java-based applications and microservices. Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements. Lead code reviews, provide mentorship, and enforce coding standards. Optimize application performance, scalability, and security. Work with DevOps teams to automate builds, tests, and deployments using CI/CD tools. Ensure adherence to Agile methodologies and participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. Maintain and enhance existing software systems by identifying and fixing bugs and improving system performance. Create and maintain technical documentation.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java (Java 8 or higher). Strong experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, etc.). Proficient in designing and implementing RESTful APIs. Solid understanding of microservices architecture and patterns. Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra). Familiarity with front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React/Angular) is a plus. Experience with version control tools like Git and build tools like Maven or Gradle. Knowledge of containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes). Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Exposure to message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ). Working knowledge of testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito). Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack). Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
