Job Requirements

The role of an Instrument Designer is to perform independently instrumentation design activities for Steam Turbine/Gas Turbine/Centrifugal Compressor systems, meeting the business/customer requirements by aligning to relevant industry/customer standards and quality acceptance criteria.

Experience on Compressor, Steam/Gas turbine, Motor and it's accessories Have experience on Design and Detail engineering in Instrumentation and Control engineering Preparation of Instrument Index, I/O List, Alarm & Trip List, Cable Schedule, and JB schedule Preparation of Logic diagrams, Loop Diagrams, Cause & Effect diagrams, Control System Architecture Diagram Preparation of Instrument Data Sheets Preparation of Control and Basic Design Document, Control system Narrative document. Selection of instruments, vibration, temp, axial elements and assign to BN Monitor, and reviewing of ASC & PLC vendor docs. Reviewing PLC Panel vendor documents, Instrument work vendor and Auxiliary vendor documents like Instrument location and JB location layouts, Junction Box layouts & Junction box wiring Diagrams, vendor Instrument datasheets, vendor skid wiring diagrams, Instrument Hookup drawings with complete BOM. Familiar with International codes and Standards on ISA, IEC, NACE, ISO, ANSI, ASME. Global working experience at Customer locations, Supervise the activities of the Engineering Team and coordinate with other departments

Work Experience

Required Skills and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering 3-6 Years of experience in field instrumentation/detail engineering for process or plant systems. To be able to Work independently & complete the assigned task Product knowledge on centrifugal compressor, Reciprocating compressors and steam/Gas turbine systems Strong knowledge /understanding of various plans P&ID diagrams Ability to understand and implement Instrumentation design standards and configuration Ability to work in a global environment Knowledge of international codes like IEC, NEMA, ISA, API etc. Working knowledge on AVEVA Instrumentation is preferred * Fluency in English
