Job Description

The Senior HR Manager will be responsible for leading, managing, and strengthening the complete Human Resources function to support the organizational objectives of a solar module manufacturing company. This role requires strategic thinking, strong leadership capabilities, and deep experience in handling HR operations within a manufacturing environment. The Sr. HR Manager will ensure effective workforce planning, talent acquisition, policy implementation, employee engagement, statutory compliance, and performance management, while fostering a productive and growth-oriented work culture.

Key Responsibilities1. Talent Acquisition & Manpower Planning



Lead end-to-end recruitment for staff, supervisors, and technical roles across production, quality, R&D, logistics, and support functions. Forecast manpower requirements by coordinating with production planning, operations, and management teams. Build talent pipelines for critical manufacturing positions and reduce hiring lead time.

2. HR Operations & Policy Implementation



Oversee daily HR operations including onboarding, induction, documentation, attendance management, and payroll coordination. Develop, implement, and upgrade HR policies, SOPs, and employee handbooks tailored to manufacturing needs. Maintain accurate HRMIS records and ensure smooth workflow across all HR processes.

3. Employee Relations & Engagement



Address employee grievances with fairness and maintain a positive and disciplined work environment. Drive engagement initiatives such as training sessions, welfare activities, shift engagement, and retention programs. Strengthen communication between management and employees to reduce attrition and maintain workplace harmony.

4. Performance Management



Implement and monitor performance appraisal systems for staff and production teams. Work with department heads to define KRAs/KPIs and track performance improvements. Initiate performance counseling and corrective action plans when required.

5. Training & Development



Identify skill gaps and coordinate technical and behavioral training for employees. Implement competency-building programs to enhance productivity and efficiency in the manufacturing unit. Maintain T&D calendar and evaluate training effectiveness.

6. Compliance & Legal Requirements



Ensure 100% compliance related to labour laws, PF, ESIC, factory act, contracts, audits, and statutory documentation. Coordinate with external consultants and government authorities whenever required. Manage contractor compliance, wages, attendance, and documentation as per legal norms.

7. Payroll & Compensation Management



Collaborate with finance/payroll teams for accurate salary processing, overtime calculation, shift allowances, and deductions. Conduct salary benchmarking and review compensation structures periodically.

8. HR Strategy & Leadership



Support top management in strategic planning related to organizational development and HR roadmap. Lead and mentor the HR team to ensure high performance and accountability. Contribute to building a strong employer brand in the renewable energy sector.

Required Qualifications & Skills



MBA/Master's degree in HR Management or related field. 7-12 years of experience in HR, with at least 3-4 years in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of Factory HR, labour laws, compliance, payroll systems, and manufacturing manpower management. Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Experience in solar/renewable energy manufacturing will be an added advantage.
