The Hardware Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, installing, and maintaining computer hardware systems, networking devices, and related infrastructure. The role involves troubleshooting hardware issues, ensuring system efficiency, and supporting the IT team in smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and test hardware components such as processors, circuit boards, routers, and storage devices.
Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, printers, and networking hardware.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair hardware-related issues in a timely manner.
Collaborate with software engineers to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software systems.
Perform preventive maintenance and regular hardware upgrades.
Maintain inventory of IT equipment and ensure availability of spare parts.
Ensure system security by implementing and monitoring hardware-related controls.
Document hardware configurations, changes, and maintenance activities.
Research and recommend new hardware technologies for organizational efficiency.
Provide technical support and training to staff regarding hardware usage.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
Proven experience as a Hardware Engineer, IT Support Engineer, or similar role.
Strong knowledge of computer architecture, networking devices, and peripheral equipment.
Hands-on experience in assembling, troubleshooting, and repairing hardware systems.
Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.) and basic networking protocols.
Problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
