: Under general supervision (but works independently most of the time) the successful candidate will be responsible for designing a wide range of creative assets including presentation decks for internal and external distribution, digital flyers and mailers for internal communications, animations for videos, etc. utilizing graphics software as appropriate. The role will provide design support to the Innovation Lab and advise on the most effective use of graphic communications and will be a key contributor.
Major Duties

• Focus on creative design and produces graphic materials, such as charts, illustrations, multi-media presentations, etc. utilizing graphics software

• Advises partners on the most effective use of graphic communications

• Manage multiple design projects and meet tight deadlines in a fast paced environment

• Maintains detailed record of hours spent on projects

• Ensure creative assets adhere to technical specifications

• Create infographics clearly and precisely describing complex data or concepts

• Iterate and optimize design based on feedback from stakeholders

• Build and maintain an asset library

• Collaborate with cross department teams as needed to fulfil creative needs

• May have direct interaction with committees and/or Senior Management

• Able to serve as a key subject matter expert on design and communication

• More technically sound in area of expertise and has broader knowledge of other areas

• Delivers a work product that requires less revision

• Able to facilitate discussions and reach decisions

• Visual thinker who can present complex concepts in clear and compelling ways

• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat) and Microsoft PowerPoint

• A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics

• Ability to translate business information into compelling visuals (e.g. charts, graphs, informational graphics)

• A keen eye for aesthetics and details

• Excellent communication skills

• Be a flexible team player with changing work priorities

• Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision

• A college or university degree (Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Multimedia Design) is preferred
• 1-3 years of design experience in corporate environment
