Greet patients, families, and visitors courteously and professionally; answer questions about services and hospital procedures; and direct them to the appropriate staff or department.
Appointment and schedule management:
Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments, ensuring efficient use of provider time and coordinating walk-ins.
Administrative duties:
Answer and direct phone calls, manage incoming and outgoing mail, and maintain a neat and organized reception area.
Patient registration and records:
Assist with patient registration, update patient information in electronic health record (EHR) systems, and ensure all necessary data is collected and files are maintained.
Billing and payments:
Handle billing, collect co-payments, deductibles, and other payments, and assist patients with insurance forms.
Communication and coordination:
Coordinate with other hospital staff and departments, and act as a liaison between the hospital, patients, and insurance companies.
