Who we are:

We are a start-up based out of Bengaluru . We are engaged in development of next generation missions and technologies (NGM&T) towards future warfare needs of the Indian defense forces. We are undertaking research towards enhancing persistence and autonomy for unmanned vehicles and robotic swarms. NRT's product development portfolio includes a solar power stratospheric high altitude pseudo satellite (HAPS) unmanned platform and an air/ground launched stand-off autonomous system.

Senior Finance Manager

Roles and Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Analysis:

Develop, oversee and enforce the financial planning process, including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning. Analyze financial data, trends, and performance metrics to provide insights and recommendations to senior management. Collaborate with department heads to create departmental budgets and ensure alignment with overall organizational goals. Evaluate financial performance against budget and provide variance analysis. Knowledge of direct and indirect taxes is desirable.

Financial Reporting and Compliance:

Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analyses to stakeholders, including management, board of directors, and external parties. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards. Oversee internal controls and processes to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial data. Coordinate and manage external audits and examinations.

Strategic Financial Management:

Identify opportunities for cost optimization, revenue enhancement, and risk mitigation Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to support business objectives and ensure financial integrity.

Team Leadership and Development:

Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the finance department. Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively, ensuring efficient workflow and optimal utilization of resources.

Stakeholder / Banking Relationship Management:

Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including executives, investors, lenders, and regulatory authorities. Serve as a key point of contact for financial inquiries and communications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and business objectives.

Financial Systems and Technology:

Evaluate and implement financial systems, tools, and technologies to streamline processes and enhance efficiency. Stay current with advancements in financial technology and recommend innovations to improve financial operations.

Special Projects and Initiatives:

Lead or participate in special projects, initiatives, and ad hoc analyses as required by senior management. Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies across the organization.

Key skills to have:

Adept at Indian GAAP, including IndAS Timely closure of books every month and Investor reporting Experience in cash flow and working capital management Effective implementation of processes Experience in managing Big 4 auditors Experience in implementation of ERP

Team management experience:

Should have managed a team of at least 5-10 employees. Holding And subsidiary accounting Experience in interacting with bankers, including managing project finance lines and international payments. Relevant Knowledge of transfer pricing Team management experience: should have managed a team of at least 5-10 employees. Relevant Knowledge of transfer pricing

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. CA qualification is mandatory. CS, CPA, CFA CMA are a plus. 10+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 3 years in a managerial or
leadership capacity. Experience in Manufacturing / Engineering organizations is a plus.


Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to lead and develop a team. Understanding of US GAAP and Indian GAAP, including IndAS accounting standards Strategic thinking and business acumen. * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities effectively.
