Purpose of the role
To ensure smooth, compliant, and timely end-to-end customs operations by managing
documentation, coordinating with stakeholders, overseeing clearance processes, and monitoring
container movements, with effective bilingual communication for Chennai requirements.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
Manage end-to-end customs operations for import and export shipments.
Ensure accurate preparation, receipt, and verification of all customs documents.
Coordinate effectively with internal teams, customs officials, and external stakeholders.
Handle customs clearance at Customs, CFS, and Port, including examinations, factory/dock
stuffing, and LEO/Out-of-Charge processes.
Oversee assessment of Shipping Bills and Bills of Entry at the Custom House or Port.
Monitor container movement through gate-in/gate-out until completion.
Work on weekends as required based on shipment schedules.
Communicate effectively in English and Hindi to support Chennai operations.
Educational Qualifications and experience
Minimum: Graduate/Postgraduate in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Business, or a related
field.
Experience: 5 to 8 years in Customs Operations.
Certification: Must hold valid G and H Cards
