Job Description

1. To prepare the packing list, containerized packing list, detailed packing list, Bill of Lading (BL) or Air Waybill (AWB) instructions, ECTN draft, and labels.

2. To prepare comparative sheets for freight, transportation, packers, and clearing agents well before the shipment.

3. To calculate cubic meters (CBM) for container requirements and plan container stuffing accordingly to avoid excess.

4. To follow up with the factory or CHA, shipping line, or freight forwarder.

5. To submit the instructions on the respective shipping line portal.

6. To consolidate the materials from various vendors and plan the shipment.

7. To save shipment-related documents in their respective folders or the Data Management System (DMS) and maintain all original documents.

8. To coordinate with the vendor for the pick-up of material post-FAT clearance.

9. To prepare the Certificate of Origin (COO), Generalised System of Preferences (GSP), Verified Gross Mass (VGM) documents, and various other shipping-related documents.

10. To follow up and prepare documents for SGS inspection and certification, mandatory for ports of the importing country.

11. To arrange for the packing of courier mode samples, prepare the packing list, and negotiate the courier mode freight charges.

12. To prepare the E-Way Bill draft as per the requirements.

13. To coordinate with the insurance agent and ensure that the goods are insured before the sailing date of the vessels.

14. To check that the Proof of Export (POE) prepared by the Assistant-Logistics is accurate. Also, to ensure that the soft copy is mailed to the vendor and the hard copy is couriered as per the vendor's requirement within one month from the vessel's sailing date.

15. To develop new transporters and wooden packaging vendors.

16. To prepare various trackers and reports based on shipments, warehouse bills, and export documents.

17. To adhere to the set of KRA and productivity levels.

18. To rectify the audited files and upload them in DMS within the given deadline.

19. To upload all the approved files in DMS.

Supervisory KRA



1. To allocate daily responsibilities to the Assistant - Logistics and ensure tasks are completed on time.

2. To check and approve export documentation (packing lists, BL/AWB instructions, POE, etc.) prepared by subordinates before submission.

3. To review trackers, reports, and shipment records prepared by subordinates before sharing them with the departmental Director.

4. To ensure that audited files rectified by subordinates are uploaded to DMS within the timeline.

5. To monitor and guide subordinates in coordinating with CHA, shipping lines, vendors, and transporters.

6. To conduct periodic review meetings with subordinates to track workload and resolve bottlenecks.

7. To mentor, train, and support subordinates in developing knowledge of export-import documentation and compliance.

8. To ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in all tasks performed by subordinates.

Requirements



1. Good understanding of logistics principles.

2. Working knowledge of warehouse operations.

3. Familiarity with transportation regulations and documentation.

4. Awareness of import/export compliance and customs procedures.

5. Knowledge of CBM calculation.

6. Familiarity with HS codes and INCOTERMS.

7. Export-import documentation and shipment flow.

8. Coordination between vendor, CHA, transporter, and warehouse.

9. Basic knowledge of freight booking and tracking.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?30,000.00 per month
