Role Summary
The
HR Operations Sr Executive/Assistant Manager
will be responsible for managing and streamlining the core HR processes and ensuring compliance with HR policies, labor laws, and internal governance standards. This role requires a detail-oriented, proactive, and people-centric professional who can handle a mix of administrative and strategic responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
1. HR Operations & Administration
Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle: onboarding, confirmation, transfer, promotion, exit, etc.
Maintain and update HRMIS (Human Resource Management Information Systems) and employee databases.
Coordinate monthly payroll inputs and liaise with Finance for processing salaries.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation (offer letters, increment letters, contracts, etc.).
Manage employee records (digital and physical) and ensure compliance with data privacy norms.
2. Policy Implementation & Compliance
Ensure implementation and adherence to HR policies and procedures.
Maintain compliance with labor laws and statutory requirements (PF, ESI, Gratuity, etc.).
Coordinate with external consultants for statutory audits and labor law updates.
3. Onboarding Support
Coordinate hiring with recruitment partners or internal teams.
Schedule interviews, collect documents, and facilitate smooth onboarding and orientation for new hires.
4. Employee Engagement & Grievance Redressal
Support the planning and execution of employee engagement initiatives.
Act as the first point of contact for employee queries and grievances and escalate when necessary.
Support performance management processes, including goal setting, appraisals, and feedback sessions.
5. HR Reporting & Analytics
Generate regular HR reports (headcount, attrition, leave reports, etc.).
Assist in data analysis for HR dashboards and presentations to leadership.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
3-6 years of experience in HR operations or generalist roles, preferably in development sector or social enterprises.
Solid understanding of HR processes, Indian labor laws, and HR software.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain confidentiality.
Desirable Traits

Experience working in NGOs or foundations is an added advantage.
Remuneration
Commensurate with experience and industry standards for the development sector.
