To ensure the effective maintenance, assembly, fitting, and correction of plastic injection molds, ensuring smooth production and adherence to quality standards within the Tool Room.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform assembly, fitting, and maintenance of injection molding tools and dies.
Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
Conduct tool corrections, adjustments, and modifications as per production requirements.
Handle polishing, welding, and finishing work for tool components.
Perform die spotting, alignment, and precision fitting to ensure tool accuracy.
Interpret and work from engineering drawings and 3D models.
Use precision measurement instruments (Vernier, micrometer, dial gauge, etc.) effectively.
Collaborate with design and production teams for continuous improvement and problem resolution.
Maintain documentation for tool maintenance, repair history, and spare management.
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards during all toolroom operations.
Key Skills & Competencies:
In-depth knowledge of Plastic Injection Molding tools and dies
Strong hands-on experience in fitting, assembly, and maintenance
Expertise in troubleshooting and die correction
Understanding of tool materials, tolerances, and machining processes
Good communication and teamwork skills
Problem-solving and root cause analysis ability
Educational Qualification:
Diploma / ITI in Tool & Die Making or equivalent
