About the Role:
The Senior Software Engineer plays a critical role in designing and building scalable software systems that solve complex business and technical challenges. This individual works closely with software, network, and systems engineering teams to create solutions that support modern infrastructure patterns such as virtualization, microservices, SDN, NFV, and cloud computing. The role is hands-on and requires autonomy, innovation, and collaboration, with a strong focus on clean, maintainable, and high-performance code.
This engineer is also responsible for contributing to the overall architecture and strategy of technical systems, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring solutions are aligned with organizational business and technical goals.
What You will Do:

• Lead design, development, and deployment of software that meets business and technical requirements.
• Develop full-stack solutions using modern frameworks and platforms.
• Contribute to system architecture, infrastructure design, and service-oriented approaches.
• Guide junior engineers and conduct peer reviews to maintain code quality.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure seamless CI/CD integration and deployment automation.
• Drive innovation by recommending new technologies, frameworks, and tools.
• Document systems, APIs, infrastructure, and architecture decisions.
• Maintain ownership of project deliverables and resolve complex technical challenges.
• Perform additional duties and strategic projects as assigned.

What You will Bring:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 47 years of hands-on experience in software development and system design.
• Proven experience delivering scalable, reliable, and secure software in cloud or hybrid environments.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, Python, Go, JavaScript).
• Familiarity with distributed systems, containerization, and microservices.
• Experience in CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and agile delivery.
• Strong analytical thinking and collaborative problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Must Have Skills:

• Strong hands-on development experience in Java and Spring Boot for building scalable backend applications.
• Proficient in designing, developing, and consuming REST APIs, with exposure to Swagger/OpenAPI for documentation.
• Experience with Postman or Rest Assured for API testing and validation.
• Familiar with Cucumber for behavior-driven testing and integration in CI pipelines.
• Exposure to Kubernetes, with understanding of how backend applications are containerized and deployed.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure for deploying services and leveraging cloud-native features.
• Version control proficiency using GitLab, GitHub, or Git for code collaboration and CI/CD workflows.
