About the Role:
The Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (Senior SDET) plays a key role in transforming business and functional requirements into comprehensive automated testing solutions that improve product quality and accelerate delivery. As a core contributor throughout the full software development lifecycle, this role supports the evolution of our in-house digital front door application, which delivers centralized knowledge, employee tools, and enterprise search capabilities. The Senior SDET is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable test automation frameworks and ensuring smooth integration of automated tests within continuous delivery pipelines. This role also provides technical leadership by defining testing strategies, coaching peers, and driving quality engineering standards across teams. Success is measured by the effectiveness of automated test execution, improved quality and reliability, and the ability to influence continuous improvement in testing practices organization wide.
What Youll Do:
Design and maintain automation systems and tools:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated and manual tests to measure product quality and support continuous delivery pipelines.
• Design, Build, implement, manage and groom automated and manual test suites to improve coverage and enable rapid feedback cycles.
• Analyze code coverage using industry-standard tools (e.g., SonarQube) and recommend improvements.
• Design and execute test casesincluding business-critical and functional scenariosfor unit, functional, performance, scalability, and durability testing.

Provide technical leadership and advance quality engineering practices:

• Define testing strategies and mentor peers across teams.
• Collaborate with IT partners, stakeholders, and product teams to create effective testing plans.
• Identify and provide solutions to improve test stability, coverage, and defect detection.
• Evaluate tools and technologies to enhance automation frameworks and overall software quality.
• Lead development of scalable test automation frameworks and embed quality engineering practices into team culture. Embed quality engineering practices into team culture.

Ensure requirements are testable and provide input during Agile delivery:

• Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and provide estimates for user stories and testing tasks.
• Collaborate with IT partners, stakeholders, and product teams to create, provision, or modify test data through repeatable, automated processes.
• Lead test design and participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality feature delivery.

Coordinate with development and operations teams on testing practices:

• Partner with developers and Operations teams to ensure testing practices meet quality thresholds.
• Provide guidance on continuous testing and automation best practices across teams.
• Perform additional duties or project work as needed
• Support evolving business and technology needs through special projects, tooling enhancements, and quality initiatives.
