Position Overview:

The Senior Engineer - Residential Projects is responsible for managing day-to-day construction activities, ensuring that residential projects are executed in line with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and timelines. The role involves close coordination with architects, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to deliver high-quality residential buildings efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:1. Project Execution & Site Management

Supervise and monitor all on-site construction activities for residential projects. Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, technical specifications, and quality standards. Plan and allocate work to site engineers, supervisors, and contractors to meet daily and weekly targets. Track project progress and highlight any risks or deviations to the Project Manager.

2. Quality Assurance & Control

Implement and monitor quality control procedures at every stage of construction. Conduct inspections for civil, finishing, and structural works to ensure compliance with design and standards. Coordinate with QA/QC teams for material testing and certification.

3. Coordination & Communication

Liaise with architects, consultants, and subcontractors for design clarifications and issue resolution. Coordinate with procurement, planning, and billing teams to ensure timely material availability and documentation. Support the Project Manager in preparing progress reports, MIS updates, and work schedules.

4. Safety & Compliance

Ensure adherence to all site safety norms, statutory regulations, and environmental guidelines. Conduct toolbox talks and safety audits to maintain a zero-incident work environment.

5. Cost & Resource Management

Monitor material consumption and control wastage to optimize project costs. Review contractor bills and verify quantities before submission to the billing department. Assist in value engineering initiatives to enhance cost efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Diploma in Civil Engineering acceptable with extensive experience).

Experience:

6-10 years of experience in residential construction projects (high-rise / villas / group housing).

Preferred Background:

Experience with reputed real estate developers or large EPC contractors.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong technical knowledge of civil and finishing works. Good understanding of project drawings, BOQs, and construction sequences. Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project planning tools. Excellent coordination, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Commitment to quality, safety, and timely project delivery.
