JOB BRIEF:
Drive and maintain the plant QMS for rubber products to ensure regulatory and customer compliance, audit readiness, and continuous improvement.
Serve as the technical owner for QMS documentation, internal and external audits, CAPA systems and management review inputs while supporting operational quality activities.
Roles & Responsibility
Maintain and control QMS ISO 9001:2015 documentation: policies, procedures, work instructions, control plans,and records.
Plan and lead internal audits: coordinate and support external customer, OEM, and statutory audits; ensure timely closure of findings.
Lead root-cause analysis and CAPA (8D/RCA), verify effectiveness of corrective actions, and track trends.
Manage change control, document revision, nonconformance processes, and record retention.
Define, monitor, and report key quality metrics; prepare management review packs and QMS performance.
Support process capability studies (Cp/Cpk), PPAP, product validation, and incoming inspection standards.
Train and coach teams on QMS requirements, audit readiness, and documentation discipline.
Liaise with Production, R&D, Stores, and Supply Chain to maintain traceability and process controls.
Ensure effective implementation of the corrective actions taken for the customers as well inhouse issues.
Supervise all the process engineers activity day to day and report to Manager Operations.
Review and update COPQ, customer return rates, annual training plan, PM Plan, calibration with suitable actions.
Authorities/Decision Making Areas:
Manpower Planning, allocation
Production, dispatch, compound, Quality, Tooling related decision
To approve leave of subordinates
Qualification & Skills:
Diploma in Mech. Engineering / Production, Rubber technology or Equivalent with in-depth knowledge of QMS ISO 9001
Certified Auditor, IATF/TS, or equivalent quality system training.
3+ years experience in QA/QMS
Candidates from Automotive or similar industries will be preferred.
