Job Title: Junior Civil Engineer - Solar Projects

# Key Responsibilities: Design and Planning:*
Assist in the preparation of detailed site plans for solar projects, including grading, drainage, and structural designs. Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to determine optimal project locations and layouts. Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to develop design specifications and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Project Coordination:*
Support the coordination of project activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation. Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met. Participate in regular project meetings and provide updates on project progress.
Technical Analysis:*
Perform structural analysis and calculations to ensure the integrity and stability of solar installations. Conduct geotechnical investigations and evaluate soil conditions to inform foundation design. Utilize engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, PVsyst) for drafting and modeling purposes.
Compliance and Quality Control:*
Ensure all designs and projects adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry best practices. Assist in the preparation and submission of permit applications and other regulatory documentation. Conduct site inspections and quality control checks to ensure adherence to design specifications and safety standards.
Documentation and Reporting:*
Prepare technical reports, design documents, and project documentation. Maintain accurate records of project activities, including design changes, site observations, and communication logs. Assist in the preparation of project close-out reports and as-built drawings.

# Qualifications: Education:*
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Experience:*
0-2 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably with exposure to renewable energy or solar projects. Internship or project experience in solar energy is a plus.
Skills and Competencies:*
Proficiency in civil engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D). Familiarity with renewable energy technologies and principles. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
