Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced

Sr. Engineer / Assistant Manager - Production

to oversee and manage production operations at our water pump manufacturing facility in Changodar. The ideal candidate will be responsible for

ensuring smooth production flow, maintaining quality standards

, optimizing productivity, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet

daily and monthly production targets

.

Key Responsibilities:Production Planning & Execution:

Plan and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on sales and inventory requirements. Ensure optimum utilization of

manpower, machinery, and materials

. Monitor production lines to ensure timely and efficient output of water pumps and components.

Process Optimization:

Analyze production processes and identify areas for

improvement, cost reduction

, and

efficiency enhancement

. Implement

Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and other productivity tools

to improve workflow. Ensure minimal machine downtime through effective planning and coordination with the maintenance team.

Quality Control:

Ensure that products are manufactured as per

BIS/ISO standards and quality norms

. Collaborate with the QC team to minimize

rework, rejection

, and

customer complaints

. Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Team & Shift Management:

Supervise and guide shop floor supervisors, operators, and contract labor across multiple shifts. Provide training to workers on

SOPs, safety protocols

, and

production techniques

.

Coordination & Reporting:

Coordinate with

design, purchase, stores, and dispatch teams

to ensure seamless production operations. Prepare and maintain

daily production reports, downtime logs, and performance analysis

. Ensure adherence to

health, safety, and environmental regulations

.

Qualifications & Experience:

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in

Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering

5-8 years

of hands-on experience in

pump manufacturing or rotating equipment industries

Good knowledge of

assembly processes, machining, testing, and balancing

of water pumps Experience in

casting, fabrication, and motor integration

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
