Introduction
We are seeking a buyer to join our sourcing team. You will be responsible for Vendor Development, Costings, Strong Analytical and Problem-solving skills, ability to create, which involves Core competency in sourcing and development of BOP and Proprietary components- Hose, Bearing, Hydraulic Pump & Motor. In this position, you will report to the Manager.
This position is mainly located in Alwar (Rajasthan)
What you'll do

• Regularly review and monitor Purchase Requisitions (PRs) in SAP to ensure timely development action.
• Understanding of drawing/technical specifications and OEM/Make specific.
• Vendor Identification and conduct RFI/Q/P (Request for Information/Quotation/Proposal)
• Strong follow-up with vendors for timely RFQ closure (Techno-Commercial feasibility).
• Analyse supplier responses and facilitate discussions with business decision makers.
• CFT discussion and resolution for any technical discrepancies on vendor's proposal.
• Preparedness of 'Quote Comparative Statement' and process for Approval Sign Off.
• Interact with Global and Regional category sourcing managers to develop sourcing strategy for each individual project and get aligned with cross function team.
• Development PO placement and ensure timely delivery of material to meet project deadline.
• Timely Part Inspection in co-ordination with Quality and Engineering.
• TOC [Handover Process for Series Production Supply].
• Participate in cross functional project coordination and internal.
• Supplier relationship management - manage supplier performance and maintain interface with supplier's organization.
• Time management skills with an ability to prioritize workload
• Continuously look for opportunities within the supply to improve quality, cost, delivery and compliance.

Who you are

• B.Tech. / Diploma (Preferably Mechanical Engg.).
• An analytical mind with a strategic ability
• Sourcing buyer with 6 + years of experience working in a global organization or, reputed Indian organization (Preferably from Heavy Construction or Automotive Industry).
• Knowledge of the sourcing and procurement process.
• Good knowledge of reading and understanding of Drawings.
• Understanding of data analysis and forecasting methods.
• Experience in the SAP MM module is a must.
• Well versed in MS Excel.
• Ability to negotiate and sustain networking relationships.
• Good Knowledge of Quality management systems.
• Driver and self-starter with good communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills to manage relationships with internal and external business.
