Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Electronics Product Design Engineer with a solid
background in high-speed analog/digital circuits, embedded firmware development, and
advanced PCB design. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in developing high-
performance embedded systems for industries such as aerospace, automotive, medical,
and defense, with a particular emphasis on ensuring regulatory compliance to MIL-STD and
reliability standards.
As part of our team, you will drive the electronic product development lifecycle, focusing on
signal integrity, thermal management, and EMC/EMI compliance, while ensuring adherence
to MIL-STD for military-grade systems and other industry-specific regulatory standards.
Your ability to balance cutting-edge design with compliance will be key to delivering products
that meet the most stringent performance and reliability requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
? Circuit Design & Simulation:
Design high-speed analog and digital circuits, with a focus on signal processing,
power integrity, and low-latency communication. Use simulation tools like SPICE
and ADS to validate design performance and stability under demanding environmental
conditions.
? PCB Layout & Routing (10+ Layers):
Lead multi-layer PCB design (10+ layers), optimizing for high-speed signal routing,
thermal dissipation, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC/EMI). Ensure designs
meet stringent performance requirements for aerospace, automotive, and defense
systems.
? Embedded Firmware Development (C/C++, RTOS):
Develop embedded firmware in C/C++ for real-time operating systems (RTOS) or
bare-metal systems. Optimize firmware for performance, low power consumption,
and hardware/software integration.
? EMC/EMI Compliance & Signal Integrity:
Design circuits and systems to meet EMC/EMI standards, ensuring designs pass
regulatory testing. Focus on signal integrity, differential pair routing, and shielding
techniques to minimize interference and optimize system performance.
? Component Selection & Testing:
Evaluate and select components for high-reliability applications, considering thermal
management, long-term stability, and ruggedized components for compliance with
MIL-STD and other regulatory standards (e.g., IEC, UL, CE).
? Regulatory Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure designs meet MIL-STD-810 (environmental testing), MIL-STD-461 (EMC
testing), MIL-STD-1275 (voltage testing), and other applicable standards such as IEC,
UL, RoHS, and CE. Develop and maintain comprehensive design documentation,
including schematics, BOM, test plans, and reports.
? Prototyping & Failure Analysis:
Oversee prototype development and conduct failure analysis using oscilloscopes,
network analyzers, and thermal imaging to assess design performance. Implement
improvements to optimize design robustness and manufacturability.
? Project Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Lead cross-functional teams through the product development lifecycle, coordinating
efforts between mechanical, software, and production teams to meet design,
regulatory, and manufacturing milestones.
Required Qualifications (Mandatory):
? Experience:
At least 15 years of hands-on experience in electronic product design, with at least 10
years focusing on high-speed circuits, embedded systems, and working in regulated
industries such as aerospace, automotive, medical, or defense.
? Circuit Design Expertise:
Extensive experience in high-speed analog and digital circuit design, with a strong
focus on signal integrity, power management, low-latency communication, and
EMC/EMI design.
? Embedded Systems & Firmware Development:
Proficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded systems. Experience with RTOS
(e.g., FreeRTOS) and bare-metal development. Strong background in
hardware/software integration for high-performance embedded systems.
? PCB Design Tools & Simulation:
Expert knowledge of PCB design tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence, OrCAD) and
multi-layer PCB layout. Experience with electromagnetic simulation tools (e.g.,
HFSS, Ansys, ADS) for signal integrity and EMC analysis.
? Testing & Compliance:
Hands-on experience with high-frequency test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes,
network analyzers) for validating and debugging designs. Strong understanding of
EMC/EMI testing and MIL-STD compliance (e.g., MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461) as well
as industry-specific standards like IEC, UL, RoHS, and CE.
? Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Embedded Systems
Engineering, or a related field.
Desired Qualifications:
? Experience with Military Standards:
Experience with MIL-STD-810 (environmental testing), MIL-STD-461 (EMC testing), and
MIL-STD-1275 (voltage testing) is a plus, but not mandatory. Familiarity with other
regulatory compliance standards (e.g., IEC, UL, RoHS) is highly valued.
? Advanced Component Selection:
Experience in selecting ruggedized components for demanding applications, such as
automotive, medical, or military systems. Knowledge of components with extended-
temperature ranges and high-reliability specifications is preferred.
? RF/Communication Systems:
Experience in RF circuit design and communication systems for high-frequency
applications, such as antennas, signal integrity, and communication protocols.
? Failure Modes & Testing Protocols:
Familiarity with automated test equipment (ATE) and the ability to conduct failure
modes and effects analysis (FMEA) for high-reliability systems.
