Electrical Engineer on Construction Site-
The Electrical Engineer on a construction site is responsible for overseeing the design, installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems in compliance with safety standards and project specifications. This role involves close coordination with project teams, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure electrical work is completed efficiently, safely, and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise electrical installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities at the construction site.
Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Prepare, review, and approve electrical drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth progress.
Perform technical inspections, troubleshooting, and resolve on-site electrical issues promptly.
Monitor project progress and report deviations or risks to the management team.
Participate in site audits, safety inspections, and quality control processes.
Assist in preparing cost and labor estimates for electrical works.
Conduct final testing and commissioning of electrical systems before project handover.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Typically 3-5 years' experience in electrical engineering with a focus on site and project management.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems design, installation, testing, and maintenance.
Proficiency in interpreting electrical drawings, codes, and standards.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and make informed decisions under pressure.
