Job Description

A Senior Electrical Engineer (DRI), or more specifically a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, is responsible for designing and developing electrical systems, often for specialized equipment or in a specific industry like data centers. This role involves conducting research, evaluating systems, collaborating with other teams, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.Key Responsibilities:Design and Development:Develops and designs electrical systems, equipment, components, and applications. This may involve creating specifications, drawings, and layouts using engineering software.Research and Evaluation:Conducts research to evaluate electrical systems, products, and components.Collaboration:Works closely with other engineering disciplines, including mechanical, civil, and architectural engineers.Project Management:May lead or support projects, including budgeting, procurement, installation, and startup of electrical projects.Troubleshooting and Support:Assists with troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues and faults.Compliance:Ensures designs comply with relevant codes and regulations, including federal, state, and municipal requirements.Documentation:Maintains updated documentation, including drawings and spare parts lists.Training:May provide training for production and maintenance personnel on new equipment.Field Support:Provides technical support during the installation and commissioning of systems, which may involve travel to different locations.Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field.

• Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in electrical engineering.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in design and engineering software, knowledge of electrical systems, components, and their applications.

• Other Skills: Good communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
