Job Summary

We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented

Senior Draughtsman & Designer

with a strong background in

furniture design and manufacturing

. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing detailed technical drawings, 3D models, and innovative furniture designs that are both functional and aesthetically aligned with market trends and client needs.

Key Responsibilities

Create detailed

2D drawings and 3D models

of furniture products using AutoCAD, SketchUp, SolidWorks, or other relevant software. Work closely with the design and production team to translate

concepts into production-ready drawings

. Prepare

assembly and part drawings

with accurate dimensions, materials, and finishing details. Coordinate with the production, CNC, and procurement teams to ensure

feasibility and material optimization

. Conduct

site measurements

and prepare customized furniture layouts for interior projects. Develop and maintain a

library of standard products and components

. Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and manufacturability before release. Collaborate with clients or sales teams to modify designs as per feedback. Ensure compliance with

ergonomic standards, material limitations, and joinery techniques

. Support R&D in prototyping and new product development.

Requirements

Diploma/Degree in

Furniture Design

,

Interior Design

, or

Mechanical Drafting

. Minimum

5+ years of experience

in furniture design and drafting. Proficiency in

AutoCAD

,

SketchUp

,

SolidWorks

, or

Fusion 360

. Strong knowledge of

woodworking, joinery

, and furniture manufacturing processes. Familiarity with

modular furniture

,

custom designs

, and

bespoke solutions

. Ability to visualize in 3D and render concepts when needed. Attention to detail, with strong organizational and documentation skills. Good communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience with

CNC file preparation

and machine-friendly design. Knowledge of

material costing

and

BOM (Bill of Materials)

preparation. Familiarity with

interior fit-out projects

and space planning.
