JOB DESCRIPTION:
In partnership with regional leaders, will lead, define and execute the vision and product strategy to drive profitable growth for portfolio of locomotive products within assigned region. In this role, you will partner with regional and functional teams to deliver business results.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Execute on key business growth initiatives and NPI programs by working closely with regional & functional teams
Create programs responsive to external environment and participate in business development
Provide leadership in the execution of operating plans to support overall business strategy
Work with customers to understand technical and operational requirements for new products, features or solutions
Define market segmentation & positioning strategies
Lead market assessments to define and target opportunities for new products, features and solutions
Assess the competitive environment; develop competitive discriminators and pricing strategy.
Lead and guide multi-generational product plans that define the evolution of system features.
Lead deal review presentations to business leadership.
Responsible for orders growth and price & market share expansion within assigned region.
Collaborate with the global sales force to develop customer contacts and selling strategies.
Monitor processes, analyze data and recommend business strategies to minimize cost of programs
Lead special projects & events to identify & execute action plans to improve commercialization processes
Frame and communicate the value proposition and measures against competition
Required QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s or Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree from an accredited university or college in the areas of Engineering and business
Minimum of 8 years of experience in product management, commercial, operations or engineering
Minimum of 10 years of experience leading a global direct report or cross-functional team
DESIRED Qualifications:
Strong ownership mindset, even in areas without direct accountability
Demonstrated capability to establish and execute business priorities.
Track record of creating and executing strategic initiatives and plans and leading the execution on a global scale
Executive level presentation/communication skills.
Experience in dealing effectively with customers at senior and technical levels.
Knowledge of financial controls and business tracking systems
Global commercial and customer experience
Proven ability to work well and influence in a matrix environment
Experience leading or managing projects of various size, duration & scope
Strategic thinker and courageous with an ability to develop and drive strategy
Innovation, expansive and lateral thinker/ problem solver in a global, complex environment
Communicate messages clearly and concisely and translate strategy into business objectives
Demonstrated capability to build a connection to key stakeholders and establish credibility quickly
Exceptional people leader, capable of both driving change and motivating team members to succeed
