The primary function of this role is to support strategic initiatives, Transformation, business planning and governance specifically to the India Finance Organization and broadly the global finance organization. This role will have the unique opportunity to be a part of driving SVB Finance’s ongoing transformation that focuses on innovation and accentuates on continuous improvements.
The role would have accountability for overall performance of the entire Transformation, Governance and PMO initiatives, stakeholder engagement, productivity, seamless service delivery, quality, people engagement and would be measured on the overall effectiveness of the process.
Program Management & Transformation:


  • Act as a Strategic consultant to the SVB Finance organization on process transformation, business process re-engineering, process standardization, Automation, and harmonization

  • Lead transformation projects in the space of process harmonization, improving accuracy, efficiency, and technological enhancements to meet industry benchmarks

  • Drive transformation in the Group's financial and accounting policies, systems, and procedures

  • Identify improvement opportunities, monetary and non-monetary impact and define implementation timelines

  • Assist in establishing the target operating model, scope assessment and managing process transition knowledge transfers

Business Planning, Governance & Reporting:

  • Partnering with key stakeholders for periodic Business performance reviews.

  • Meet the organizations objectives and track functional compliance with regulations, policies, and standards

  • Ensuring appropriate controls are in place and applied to maintain consistency of reporting processes across the submissions

  • Track operational delivery status to the plan and report any variance via management reporting

  • Assist with internal and external audit requests and respond to follow up questions timely

  • Business Management activities that include Operational governance & Reporting, Internal Compliance, BCP/ Resiliency, Capability Development (L&D), headcount management, Project portfolio management etc. and provides analysis to support the Global business management teams requests.

Leadership and People management:

  • Define talent/skill needs and resource requirement keeping in mind process evolution and emerging technologies

  • Provide clear definition of roles, responsibilities, individual goals, and performance objectives for the team

  • Provide regular, constructive feedback to maximize positive impact of individual team member’s talent

  • Contribute to hiring and talent management strategy and policies for GDC

  • Support cross-training and resource rotation to ensure that there is enough breadth and depth of talent caliber/ potential across the organization to provide enough bench strength for key roles, and to sustain and build organizational capability over time

Stakeholder management:

  • Accountable for effective communication of issues across the GDC and working groups

  • Manage Finance stakeholders, providing periodic updates and contribute to periodic communications like Debrief, Dashboards, KPIs etc.

  • Be the trusted partner to the Head of India Finance and support on strategic and tactical aspects covering people, process, technology, data, and analytics areas

  • Work closely with:

    • HR in Staffing, people initiatives and attrition management

    • Functional teams on Process Improvement Initiatives and ensuring seamless migration

    • Technology team on automation / digitization initiatives for the process

Knowledge

  • Expert knowledge of Project management and broad understanding of the overall Finance function

  • Knowledge of banking operating model and products

Skills

  • 15+ years of Hands-on experience on Process Re-engineering, Business process transformation, Process decoupling, transitioning to Shared Services model

  • Exposure in managing end to end processes - Accounts Payable (P2P) General Ledger Accounting (R2R), Order to Cash (OTC), FP&A, Treasury etc.

  • Experience in transitioning processes, designing SLA/KPI's, establishing reporting framework for various stakeholders

  • Excellent written and spoken communications skills across all levels

  • Able to interact with internal/ external stakeholders and ensure interactions are of a high quality of service

  • Able to coordinate with other internal departments to deliver seamless service to business

  • Able to effectively manage tasks and delegate work among team members (as required)

  • Efficient and well organized, able to work under tight deadlines

  • Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to multitask

  • Ability to be flexible with job duties, shift timings (1 pm to 11 PM IST) and scope of work

  • Proven capability to work independently without hand holding and exercising sound judgment & initiative

Education and Experience

  • MBA – Finance required
