As a part of the team, you will deliver technology stack, using strong analytical and problem solving skills to understand the business requirements and deliver quality solutions. You'll be working on complex technical problems that will involve detailed analytical skills and analysis. This will be done in conjunction with fellow engineers, business analysts and business stakeholders.


To be successful as a Sr DevOps Engineer - PREST, you should have experience with:

Engineering mindset, attention to details, creativity. Experience in managing environments and DevOps tools. Knowledge and proven experience in Cloud Technology (preferably AWS). Knowledge and proven experience in one of the scripting languages (preferably PowerShell, Python, Bash). Knowledge and practical experience with CI/CD pipelines (Git, GitLab, deployment tools, Nexus, JIRA, , TeamCity/Jenkins, , Infrastructure-as-a-Code (Chef, or alternatives). Good knowledge of Windows servers, as well as Unix systems. Knowledge and practical experience with MS SQL Server, Oracle, other DBMS. Knowledge of middleware tools like Solace , MQ and good understanding of ITIL concepts (IPC, ServiceFirst).

Some other highly valued skills include:

Experience with Configuration Management tools. Experience with Monitoring / Observability solutions - Elastic Search stack, Grafana, AppD. Strong muti-tasking and ability to re-prioritize activities, based on ever-changing external requirements. Stress resistance and ability to work and deliver results under pressure from the numerous parties. Creative thinking and problem solving, mindset oriented towards continuous improvement and delivering service of excellent quality.

Purpose of the role

To lead and manage engineering teams, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions, driving technical excellence, fostering a culture of innovation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align technical decisions with business objectives.

Accountabilities

Lead engineering teams effectively, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture to achieve project goals and meet organizational objectives. Oversee timelines, team allocation, risk management and task prioritization to ensure the successful delivery of solutions within scope, time, and budget. Mentor and support team members' professional growth, conduct performance reviews, provide actionable feedback, and identify opportunities for improvement. Evaluation and enhancement of engineering processes, tools, and methodologies to increase efficiency, streamline workflows, and optimize team productivity. Collaboration with business partners, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions and ensure a cohesive approach to product development. Enforcement of technology standards, facilitate peer reviews, and implement robust testing practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.
