Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Developer with hands-on experience in CAD and GIS-based software development.The role involves integrating CAD and GIS data, developing digital mapping tools, and supporting visualization and automation solutions for infrastructure planning and O&M.
This position offers an opportunity to work on large-scale geospatial and engineering data systems, supporting enterprise infrastructure initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Application & Integration Development

• Develop and maintain web and desktop applications integrating CAD and GIS data sources.

• Work with Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, ArcGIS or similar APIs to automate design and mapping workflows.

• Implement spatial data processing, map rendering, and feature editing functionalities.

• Collaborate with GIS experts and backend teams for smooth data integration.

2. Data & System Integration

• Integrate CAD data (DWG/DXF) with GIS datasets (Shapefile, GeoJSON, PostGIS).

• Build and consume RESTful APIs for map visualization and data exchange.

• Implement workflows for spatial queries, topology validation, and georeferencing.

• Optimize performance for large geospatial datasets.

3. Agile Delivery

• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and reviews under Agile/Scrum methodology.

• Work closely with business analysts, testers, and architects to deliver high-quality modules.

• Support UAT and production deployments.

4. Documentation & Support

• Prepare technical documentation including design specs and API references.

• Support debugging, testing, and issue resolution during development and rollout phases.

Requirements
Required Skills & Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in GIS/CAD software development.

• Strong skills in Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Angular or React.

• Knowledge of GIS frameworks such as OpenLayers, Leaflet, or ArcGIS JavaScript API.

• Experience with Autodesk APIs (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Forge) or equivalent CAD automation tools.

• Familiarity with PostGIS, GeoServer, or spatial databases.

• Hands-on experience with REST APIs, JSON, and spatial data formats.

• Exposure to Gati Shakti, Smart Cities, or infrastructure data projects preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Geoinformatics, or Civil/Mechanical Engineering.

• Experience working with cloud-based systems (AWS/Azure).

• Understanding of digital twin and spatial data analytics concepts.

• Exposure to Python or FME for data transformation scripts.
