We are looking for a
Mold Design Engineer
with hands-on experience in
Plastic Injection Molding Design
and
NX software
. The ideal candidate should be capable of independently handling mold design activities from concept to final release.
Key Responsibilities:
Design plastic injection molds using
NX (UG NX)
software
Prepare
core, cavity, slider, lifter, and insert designs
Perform
DFM (Design for Manufacturability)
analysis
Develop
2D manufacturing and assembly drawings
Design
gating, runner, cooling, and ejection systems
Coordinate with tool room, production, and quality teams
Modify designs based on trial feedback and customer requirements
Ensure designs meet quality, cost, and delivery targets
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical Engineering
5-7 years of experience in
Injection Mold Design
Strong knowledge of
NX (Unigraphics)
Understanding of plastic materials and molding processes
Familiar with mold components and standard parts
Good communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Skills:
Exposure to Moldflow / Moldex (added advantage)
Experience in automotive or industrial plastic components
