As a

Sr. Design Mechanical Engineer

, you will be responsible for designing mechanical parts, industrial machinery, and custom equipment for process and manufacturing applications. You will play a key role in project execution from concept to completion, ensuring designs are efficient, manufacturable, and meet performance and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and machinery for industrial applications. Create detailed 2D/3D CAD models and engineering drawings using software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar. Collaborate with production, R&D, and project teams to ensure design feasibility and functionality. Conduct engineering calculations for stress, load, and tolerance analysis. Optimize designs for manufacturing (DFM), cost-efficiency, and operational performance. Review and improve existing machinery designs for performance enhancement. Participate in prototype development, testing, and troubleshooting. Maintain design documentation and ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Minimum 3+ years of experience

in design engineering within the

mechanical manufacturing or process industry

. Proficient in CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.) and engineering design principles. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, machine components, materials, and fabrication processes. Hands-on experience in designing industrial machinery or mechanical parts. Good knowledge of GD&T, FEA, and relevant engineering standards. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred:

Experience in process plant equipment (e.g., conveyors, mixers, pumps, gear systems). Familiarity with sheet metal, structural design, and welding processes. Exposure to ERP systems and project documentation.
