Job Description

Designation: Sr. Design Engineer

Location: Sakinaka Mumbai

Education: BE BTech or Diploma in Mechanical

Budget: 45k to 50k per month ( Depending on experience )

Roles and Responsibilities -

Product Design & Development

Lead the design of valve components and die-cast parts using CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD). Develop innovative designs that meet performance, cost, and manufacturability goals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, production, quality) to refine designs.

Technical Oversight

Conduct feasibility studies, stress analysis, and tolerance stack-ups. Ensure designs comply with relevant standards (e.g., ASME, API, ISO). Review and approve engineering drawings and BOMs.

Process Integration

Work closely with die casting teams to optimize mold design and casting parameters. Implement DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles. Support tooling development and troubleshoot casting defects.

Project Management

Manage multiple design projects from concept to production. Prepare technical documentation, design reports, and validation plans. Mentor junior engineers and support team skill development.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Min 5 years of experience in

valve design and die casting manufacturing.

Proficiency in CAD software and FEA tools. Strong understanding of metallurgy, casting processes, and fluid dynamics.

Preferred Skills

Experience with ERP systems and PLM tools. Knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
