Scope of Role The Design Engineer is responsible for supporting the development of tolerance analysis vehicle program support work plans for all Exterior commodities and for all other stake holder & Cross functional team. Area of Responsibility Candidate should be well versed with Product design and Exterior commodities. Supporting the development of tolerance analysis is vehicle program support work plans. Leading the tolerance analysis modelling and reporting on vehicle programs. Providing geo metric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) support on vehicle programs. Appearance and functional dimensional issue resolution on vehicle programs. Should have worked on Tolerance stack-up Analysis (Excel Based). Support related dimensional control elements (locators, checking fixtures, etc.) as required. Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience developing and analyzing GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance). Experience developing and analyzing locating strategies for body trims and chassis system. Experience performing tolerance analysis simulations using Team Centre VisVSA, CATIA V5 3DCs. Experience in working with CATIA V5 and ENOVIA. Production experience in manufacturing or assembly of vehicle systems (body, trim and chassis). Experience in dimensional control related activities. Specific Skill Requirement: Should be able to learn new systems quickly (BOM/ECR/Change Management and OEM Process) Required Experience : 2-6 Years in Automotive Exterior
