Responsible for end-to-end design of material handling equipment and leading a small design team. Includes
site visits
,
requirement gathering
,
concept design
,
detailing
, and
coordination
with project and production teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Design conveyors, elevators, screens, hoppers, and automation systems.
Create/validate 3D models, fabrication drawings, assemblies, and BOMs.
Apply GD&T; prepare GA drawings and plant layouts (SolidWorks & ZWCAD).
Improve designs, analyze prototype/testing results, and ensure safety standards.
Visit customer sites, understand requirements, and propose solutions.
Guide junior designers and review work; support production/installation teams.
Qualifications:
BE/BTech Mechanical.
Strong knowledge of fabrication, GD&T, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Experience in conveyors/elevators/SPMs preferred.
Proficient in SolidWorks & ZWCAD.
Good team-handling, communication, and problem-solving skills.
