Qualification: B.E / B.Tech / M.E / M.Tech in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering. Experience: 3-5 years in automotive BIW / Structure / Sheet metal Design. Location: Gurgaon Role and responsibilities
1. Capable to develop sheet metal components (BIW) using Surface design 2. Responsible for working on complex engineering parts ensuring quality and meeting the project timeline. 3. Work in team and support other team members. 4. Responsible for detailed engineering design of complex parts in the project.
Desired Skills v Good knowledge of BIW (Body-in-White) Design of structural components (e.g. Door Panels / Body Side Panel / Underbody Panels) v Proficient in CATIA V5 v Must have strong experience in design of passenger car body components like Roof, Floor, Side body outer/inner, doors, closures etc. v Must have relevant experience in Master Sections, Vehicle Integration, Vehicle packaging, Concept creation, assembly processes of various parts. v Should have knowledge and understanding of Tooling and manufacturing processes. v Must have knowledge of relevant Regulations & Homologation requirement. v Should have knowledge of GD&T. v Must have handled projects for leading Automotive OEMs. v Should have experience in team management and project delivery. v Good knowledge of joining processes e.g. Spot welding v Must be willing to work at various levels in a project organization depending on the project requirement. v Good communication and inter personal skills are necessary.
