We are looking for a proficient database developer, who understand the flow of data in different workflows of our analytics product and enhance the existing architecture for optimization. Coming up with intuitive solutions to resolve data issues is one of the opportunities and responsibilities of the role. The role requires working closely with team(s) in Hyderabad and in Boston Also needs to work with different stakeholders like product management and client teams. Job Purpose: To cater the needs of handling and managing database deliverables of a scrum team in Hyderabad. In the multi-layered architecture of the analytics product, efficient data storage and retrieval is key, hence the job needs to be handled by expert database professional. The team constitute members with cross-functional & cross technical skills, and it is part of a bigger Software Development Group for our product across the globe for EES, plays a crucial role in product release along with other scrum teams in Hyderabad. Our data-rich products deploy a host of cutting-edge technologies to build high-performance and scalable products on AWS Cloud. As an experienced senior software engineer you will be responsible for designing and building database solutions in an application with components using Angular, Python, C#, JavaScript frameworks, AWS technologies (Redshift, Aurora, Glue etc.) and other technologies for enterprise scale multi-user applications. Responsibilities: Contribute to the distributed database schema design geared for scalability and performance using MPP database engines (Redshift) and relational transactional engines (Aurora) Design and implement risk management business functionality and in-database analytics Identify complex data problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and design and implement solutions. Collaborate effectively with project stakeholders outside of Dev. group, especially with Product Management on feature requirements and project schedules. Provide effective technical leadership and oversight to development team on a project, ensuring that software is developed in adherence to established architecture, design, quality standards, as well as delivery schedule. Design and develop functional and responsive web applications by collaborating with other engineers in the scrum team. Qualifications Essential: Overall, 7years of hands-on experience in development of commercial-grade software products. 5+ years of experience on MPP databases using PostgreSQL 2+ years of Experience with AWS technologies (Redshift, Aurora, RDS, S3, Glue,) Experience on Angular, Python, C# is a plus Strong understanding of Agile process and best practices Ability to develop use-cases from business requirements. Strong proficiency with SQL and it is good to know its variation among popular databases Working experience on programming with T-SQL and dynamic SQL. Be aware of potential blocking, deadlocking and write code to avoid those situations. Code reviews, pair programming, good troubleshooting and debugging skills Should be familiar with version controlling packages like TFS/VSS Should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience with or good understanding of Big Data concepts Strong problem-solving skills Fast learner and keen to learn. Excellent listening skills Good written and verbal communication skills Enthusiasm, energy, and creativity. B Tech/BE in CS, IT, EE, EC or equivalent in education Below skills will be an added advantage: AWS database Developer certifications.
