Job Title: Senior Data Modeller
Location: Hybrid
Experience: 4 6 Years
Qualification: Bachelor's / Master's in Computer Science or related field
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain scalable data models in Snowflake, with support for regional extensions.
Define and document enterprise-level core data model changes, embedding business logic.
Lead data modelling workshops with stakeholders to align business, engineering, and BI needs.
Provide technical guidance to developers, review outputs, and assign modelling-related tasks.
Optimize models for performance, quality, governance, and compliance.
Collaborate with BI teams to ensure semantic consistency and enable self-service analytics.
Ensure adherence to data security, RBAC, and compliance standards.
Use DevOps tools (Git/Bitbucket) for version control of modelling artefacts.
Maintain documentation, metadata, and data lineage for all models.
(Preferred) Work with Matillion or similar ETL/ELT tools for integration workflows. Required Skills & Experience
5+ years in data modelling, with 3+ years in a senior/lead role.
Expertise in designing enterprise-level data models for cloud data platforms (Snowflake preferred).
Strong knowledge of data warehouse design patterns (Dimensional, Data Vault, etc.).
Advanced SQL and Snowflake-specific features (streams, tasks, dynamic tables).
Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools: Matillion, DBT, Talend, or Azure Data Factory.
Experience with DevOps practices and version control tools.
Knowledge of metadata management, data lineage, and cataloguing.
Strong understanding of data privacy, governance, and RBAC.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills.
Strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and communication skills.
