The role involves reviewing, drafting, and managing contracts, ensuring compliance with legal, technical, and commercial requirements, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders to safeguard the company's interests.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Management
: Draft, review, and finalize contracts, agreements, work orders, and subcontractor packages.
Documentation Review
: Scrutinize BOQ, drawings, specifications, and tender documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Cost & Billing Oversight
: Monitor project costs, variations, RA bills, and final settlements, ensuring timely certification and approvals.
Vendor & Contractor Coordination
: Liaise with vendors, consultants, and contractors to resolve contract-related issues and secure compliance.
Claims & Disputes
: Handle claims, contract variations, extensions of time (EOT), disputes, and ensure amicable settlements.
Risk & Compliance
: Identify risks in contracts, safeguard company interests, and ensure adherence to legal and commercial clauses.
Project Closure
: Manage contract closure, retention release, and preparation of final documentation.
Reporting & MIS
: Maintain contract-related MIS, provide updates to management, and support audits.
Team Mentoring
: Guide junior contract engineers and support their development.
