The following duties are typical of the position but are not all encompassing. Responsibilities include those required to deliver quality service on schedule and within budget in a team environment.

Project specific key requirements :

• Strong domain knowledge in Electrical & Controls, with onsite management of MEP utilities
• Basic knowledge of Civil works to manage the interfacing with the MEP systems
• Construction execution & schedule control
  • Ability to co-ordinate with a team of interdisciplinary engineers & vendors to effectively deliver the project.
  • Ability to develop the detailed schedule for commissioning activities, establish a tracking mechanism to ensure all interrelated activities are monitored for adherence to schedule .
  • Review the constructability aspects of the D/B agencies drawings w.r.t the onsite field conditions & running plant operations.
  • Develop and execute regular daily & Monthly project construction reports
  • Provide execution plans to catch up the schedule delay;
  • Monitor Contractor resource adequacy at regular intervals
• Safety management
  • Safety conscious & awareness of safety systems

• Site inductions for new workers on site
• Ensure that training and education will be conducted by Vendors/ Sub- contractors
• Review and approval of Work method descriptions/statements
• Manage work permit system
• Conduct regular on- site Safety audit

• Quality management
  • Coordinate daily on-site quality activity
  • Review and approval of Construction Method Statement;
  • Vendor/ Material qualification
• Cost management
  • Review the vendor invoices / measurements /RA Bills w.r.t to the physical progress
  • Track w.r.t to approved budget / advise on change orders if needed.
• Self-motivated and communication skills
• Having a system-oriented approach to managing the project & problem-solving techniques keeping client's end goals in focus
• Should have very good communication skills to collaborate with different stakeholders.
• On site presence during execution to ensure construction carried out as per client's guidelines (Monday to Saturday- 6 days per week, with working hours per project needs).

• Bachelors degree in Electrical & Instrumentation engineering or Electrical & Controls engineering
• 5 to 10 years of experience in Chemical & Industrial projects in engineering & construction
• Minimum 5 years field construction management & overall supervision experience
• Startup commissioning experience preferred
• Knowledge and expereince in chemical, Oil & Gas, and/or paper industry.
• Ability to work onsite, and take direction from SSOE construction manager /client project manager.
• Location - Erode - TamilNadu.
• Ready to work on contract. This is a short term 3-4 months contractural assignment.
