Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Senior Clinical Psychologist to lead psychological services at our 70-bedded residential rehabilitation centre in Karjat. The role involves conducting advanced psychological assessments, developing and implementing treatment programs, supervising junior psychologists, providing specialized therapies, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive rehabilitation services. Residential position with complete clinical leadership responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
Advanced Psychological Assessment & Diagnosis
? Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and risk assessments for mental health and addiction patients.
? Administer standardized psychometric tests and interpret results for treatment planning.
? Develop differential diagnoses and provide clinical recommendations to psychiatrists.
Treatment Planning & Therapy Delivery
? Design, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans for complex cases.
? Provide individual therapy (CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, trauma-focused therapy).
? Conduct group therapy sessions, family therapy, and relapse prevention programs.
? Monitor patient progress and modify treatment strategies based on clinical outcomes.
Clinical Leadership & Supervision
? Supervise and mentor junior psychologists, counselors, and therapy assistants.
? Conduct case conferences, clinical reviews, and treatment team meetings.
? Provide clinical supervision and professional development training to team members.
Multidisciplinary Team Collaboration
? Collaborate with psychiatrists, Resident Medical Officers, nursing staff, and rehabilitation teams.
? Participate in ward rounds, treatment planning meetings, and discharge planning.
? Contribute to multidisciplinary treatment plans and patient care protocols.
Program Development & Quality Improvement
? Develop and implement specialized therapy programs for de-addiction and mental health rehabilitation.
? Monitor treatment outcomes and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
? Stay updated on evidence-based practices and emerging trends in clinical psychology.
Patient & Family Education
? Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, treatment processes, and recovery strategies.
? Facilitate family therapy sessions and caregiver support groups.
? Conduct psychoeducation workshops and awareness sessions.
Documentation & Compliance
? Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient records and clinical documentation.
? Ensure compliance with RCI guidelines, hospital policies, and statutory regulations.
? Prepare clinical reports, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
Qualifications & Experience
Mandatory Requirements:
? M.Phil in Clinical Psychology (RCI registered/licensed)
? Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in mental health, rehabilitation, psychiatry, or de-addiction settings
? Proven experience in psychological assessment, therapy delivery, and treatment planning
? Must be willing to stay full-time on campus
Preferred Qualifications:
? Experience in de-addiction rehabilitation or psychiatric hospitals
? Certification in CBT, DBT, or addiction counseling
? Experience in clinical supervision and team leadership
? Advanced clinical assessment and psychometric testing skills
? Expertise in evidence-based psychotherapies (CBT, DBT, MI, etc.)
? Strong clinical leadership and supervision abilities
? Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
? Crisis intervention and risk management expertise
? Ability to work independently in residential therapeutic environment
? Proficiency in clinical documentation and case management
? Patient-centric approach with cultural sensitivity
