We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated
Sr. Business System Analyst
(BSA III)
. The BSA will act as a bridge between business collaborators, product owners, and technical teams to define, document, and translate requirements into Salesforce Health Cloud/Life Sciences Cloud solutions that support Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy (REMS) programs, to drive a range of sophisticated IT projects, from inception through execution, within the Medical Communications department of the Clinical Research Group. As a key member of our Project Management Office, you will have the opportunity to drive technology enablement and innovation as we move towards the future. You will be encouraging and cultivating positive relationships and establishing trust with clients and internal business partners. Sr. Business System Analyst Responsibilities:
Capture, analyze, and document business requirements, functional specifications, and process flows for REMS programs on Salesforce Health Cloud or Life Sciences Cloud.
Translate sophisticated regulatory workflows (Prescriber, Pharmacy, Patient, AR, Call Center, etc.) into Salesforce capabilities.
Facilitate workshops with multi-functional team members (IT, QA/Validation, and Business Teams).
Create user stories, acceptance criteria, and use case diagrams aligned to Agile sprints.
Support development and QA teams during design, build, and testing phases (SIT, UAT, and PQ).
Partner with validation and compliance teams to ensure work meet GxP and audit requirements.
Collaborate with Product Owner and Scrum Master to prioritize backlog, refine epics/stories, and ensure traceability across Jira, TestRail, and Confluence.
Contribute to URS/FRS, SOP documentation, and RACI matrices for validated systems.
Assist with data migration mappings, integrations (Mulesoft, SFTP, AWS, etc.), and change control impact assessments (CREQ/CSVC).
Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups as part of the Agile cadence.
Knowledge about AppExchange products.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science.
Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job comparable to 5+ years' experience working in a Salesforce software development environment, of which at least 4 years must be directly involved in leading small to medium requirement gathering initiatives, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Salesforce certifications (Administrator, Business Analyst, Salesforce Administrator preferred).
Understanding of data privacy regulations, and multi-stakeholder coordination (manufacturer, pharmacy, call center, prescriber, patient).
The candidate should have a demonstrable understanding of regulated environments (GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, HIPAA) and experience working in Agile frameworks.
REMS (Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategies) experience is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Domain Expertise: Health care proven ability is preferred.
Salesforce Skills: Health cloud or Lifesciences cloud experience is preferred.
Understanding of Objects, Flows, Process Builder, Lightning Pages, Data Model, Integrations, and Field Audit Trail / Compliance configurations. Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with FDA REMS guidelines, 21 CFR Part 11, HIPAA, GxP validation practices.
Requirements Management: Expertise in eliciting and documenting business and functional requirements, process mapping, and user story creation.
Tools: Experience with Jira, Confluence, TestRail, and Gearset/Azure DevOps for traceability and deployments.
Agile Practices: Strong knowledge of Agile ceremonies, story grooming, estimation, sprint planning, retrospectives, and Definition of Done (DoD).
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to simplify complex concepts for technical and non-technical participants.
