This role involves identifying new business opportunities, expanding the client base, negotiating contracts, and ensuring smooth coordination between customers and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities:1. Business Development & Client Acquisition
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in
Freight Forwarding and NVOCC
services (Sea, Air, and Cross-trade).
Generate qualified leads through networking, referrals, and cold calls.
Conduct meetings with clients to understand logistics requirements and propose customized freight solutions.
Develop strategic sales plans to achieve monthly and annual revenue targets.
Negotiate freight rates, terms, and agreements with clients and ensure profitability.
2. Account Management & Relationship Building
Maintain long-term relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business.
Serve as the primary point of contact for client communication, ensuring timely responses and service delivery.
Handle customer queries, follow up on shipments, and provide proactive updates.
Work closely with internal departments (Operations, Documentation, and Accounts) for seamless coordination.

Share valuable insights with management to refine pricing and business strategies.
Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry networking events.
4. Coordination & Operations Support
Coordinate with the
operations and pricing teams
to obtain competitive freight rates and ensure timely shipment execution.
Ensure proper documentation flow for bookings, BL issuance, and shipment tracking.
Monitor shipment status and handle any issues related to transit delays, damages, or discrepancies.
Requirements & Skills:
Graduate in Commerce, Business, or Logistics (MBA preferred).
3-6 years of experience in Freight Forwarding and NVOCC sales
- mandatory*. Strong understanding of
international logistics processes, shipping documentation, and trade lanes (import/export).
Excellent
communication, presentation, and negotiation
skills.
Proficiency in
MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
and CRM tools.
Self-motivated, result-oriented, and capable of handling end-to-end client management.
Ability to meet sales targets and deliver consistent business growth.
