We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior BigCommerce Developer to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in BigCommerce along with strong proficiency in Node.js and React. As a senior member of the team, you will play a key role in leading the design and development of scalable, high-performing eCommerce solutions. This role demands a strategic thinker with a solid understanding of system architecture, CI/CD practices, and modern development methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and optimization of BigCommerce-based eCommerce platforms.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other developers to define, design, and ship new features.
Integrate third-party APIs and custom applications with BigCommerce.
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless deployment processes.
Contribute to system architecture and design decisions to enhance scalability and performance.
Ensure code quality through best practices in clean coding, testing, and documentation.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
Mentor junior developers and participate in code reviews to uphold development standards.
Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
7+ years of overall development experience, with at least 3-4 years of hands-on BigCommerce development.
Proficient in Node.js, React, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and deployment tools.
Deep understanding of system design and architecture for scalable applications.
Demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments is a plus.
