Backend Developer

Job Overview:
As a Backend Developer, you'll collaborate with data scientists, app developers, and business consultants to architect and implement platforms that bridge cutting-edge data models and end-user applications. Your work will ensure seamless, high-performance delivery of real-time analytics, dashboards, intelligent recommendations, and data-driven workflows.
Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using
Python (Flask, Django, FastAPI, etc.)
and
JavaScript/Node.js (Express, NestJS, etc.)
.
Architect and optimize relational and NoSQL data stores (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB) for analytics, app data, and ML model outputs.
Build, deploy, and maintain robust microservices or serverless architectures.
Integrate ML models and analytics pipelines into API endpoints in close collaboration with data scientists.
Own API design, documentation, testing, and security using REST or GraphQL.
Work closely with frontend/mobile teams to design effective data interfaces.
Implement industry best practices for authentication, authorization, and secure data handling.
Deploy and monitor solutions on cloud platforms (preferably AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Requirements:
3+ years' experience developing and shipping backend systems using
exclusively Python and JavaScript (Node.js)
stacks.
Production experience with frameworks like Django, Flask, FastAPI (Python) and Express, NestJS (Node.js).
Solid knowledge of data modeling for relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
Strong API architecture skills (REST, GraphQL), authentication/authorization, and secure coding practices.
Hands-on with cloud deployment, version control (Git), automated testing, and CI/CD.
Ability to take ownership and deliver backend features independently in a collaborative team setting.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with software design patterns and best practices in building modular, maintainable backend systems.
Skilled in implementing robust authentication, authorization, and security mechanisms for API-driven platforms.
Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines to support backend code quality and reliability.
Understanding of performance optimization for APIs and backend services, including caching and load balancing.
Proficiency in monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining backend systems in production environments.
Bonus:
