Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled

Sr. Azure Administrator

with 5-8 years of hands-on experience in managing, monitoring, and supporting Microsoft Azure cloud environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the

availability, security, performance, scalability, and cost optimization

of Azure infrastructure, while closely collaborating with application and DevOps teams.

Key Responsibilities

Azure Infrastructure Management

Design, deploy, and manage Azure resources including

Virtual Machines, VNets, Load Balancers, Azure Storage, and App Services

Manage Azure subscriptions, resource groups, tagging, and naming conventions Implement and maintain

high availability (HA)

and

disaster recovery (DR)

architectures

Security & Identity Management

Configure and manage

Azure Active Directory (AAD)

, RBAC, and Conditional Access Implement security best practices using

Microsoft Defender for Cloud (Azure Security Center)

Manage

Azure Key Vault

, certificates, secrets, and access policies Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory security standards

Monitoring & Performance

Monitor environments using

Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights

Perform performance tuning, availability monitoring, and capacity planning Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and service-related issues

Automation & DevOps Support

Automate deployments and administrative tasks using

PowerShell, Azure CLI, ARM Templates, or Bicep

Support CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with DevOps teams Implement and maintain

Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

practices

Backup, DR & Business Continuity

Configure and manage

Azure Backup

and

Azure Site Recovery

Define, implement, and test disaster recovery and business continuity strategies Ensure data protection, backup policies, and retention compliance

Cost Management & Optimization

Monitor and optimize Azure spend using

Azure Cost Management

Recommend cost-saving strategies and right-sizing of resources Manage budgets, alerts, and usage reporting

Operations & Support

Provide

L2/L3 support

for Azure infrastructure and production issues Collaborate with application, network, and security teams Maintain architecture documentation, SOPs, and operational runbooks

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

5-8 years of experience in

Microsoft Azure Administration

Strong hands-on expertise in: + Azure Compute, Networking, and Storage services
+ Azure AD, RBAC, and identity management
+ Azure Backup and Site Recovery
+ Monitoring and logging tools
Proficiency in

PowerShell scripting and automation

Good understanding of

DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines

Experience administering

Windows and Linux workloads

in Azure

Certifications (Preferred)

Microsoft Certified:

Azure Administrator Associate

Microsoft Certified:

Azure Solutions Architect

(added advantage)

Soft Skills

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills Excellent communication and documentation abilities Ability to work independently and lead cloud initiatives * Experience mentoring or guiding junior team members
