Responsible for end-to-end AV system installation, cabling, configuration, and
commissioning of equipment like projectors, mixers, displays, and conferencing systems.
Must interpret technical drawings, coordinate with project stakeholders, ensure site
readiness, and troubleshoot AV signal flow issues. Provides on-site support, documentation,
and basic user training while staying updated on AV technologies.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Handle cabling, terminations, and installation of AV equipment including telephone
systems, projectors, LCDs, and plasma TVs.
? Install and configure AV components such as amplifiers, switchers, mixers,
wireless/wired microphones, and conferencing units.
? Read and interpret schematic diagrams, floor/ceiling plans, equipment layouts, and
power requirements based on BOQ and site conditions.
? Maintain daily project records, task lists, and ensure timely completion of work.
? Possess strong knowledge of AV signal flow, installation standards, and system
troubleshooting.
? Coordinate with vendors, clients, consultants, architects, and other stakeholders for
smooth execution.
? Conduct testing, commissioning, maintenance, and upgrades of AV systems.
? Provide technical support and training to subordinates, clients, and end-users.
? Stay updated with new technologies and industry trends for system optimization.
REQUIREMENTS:
? Bachelor's degree or diploma in electrical engineering, or equivalent experience.
? 4-6 years of experience in designing, installing, and maintaining AV systems.
? Strong knowledge of AV system installation and configuration.
? Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
? High attention to detail and accuracy.
? Ability to work independently and prioritize workload.
? Capable of managing long-term AV projects across multiple sites and involving
various technologies and vendors.
