Join Shipco IT as a Sr. Associate - Network Administrator



We're seeking a Senior Network Administrator who excels in fast-paced, high-stakes

environments. In this role, you'll design, optimize, and secure our global network

infrastructure, lead automation and security initiatives, and guide junior team members

ensuring reliability, scalability, and innovation in every connection we manage.

What You'll Do...





Network Management & Operations: Design, deploy, configure, and maintain
network hardware and software, including routers, switches (HPE, Fortinet,

Meraki), firewalls, load balancers, and wireless access points, ensuring seamless

connectivity across global operations.
Architecture & Scalability: Plan, design, and implement network infrastructure
upgrades, expansions, and migrations to maintain high availability and support

future business growth.
Network Security: Lead the management of firewalls, VPNs (including IPSEC,
L2TP, OpenVPN), intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and

access control lists (ACLs) to safeguard critical network resources.
VoIP Administration: Configure and manage VoIP protocols (RTSP, SIP), STP,
RSTP, QoS, VoIP queues, and DID to ensure reliable voice communications.
Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Proactively monitor network performance,
analyze complex issues (Tier 3 escalation), perform root cause analysis, and

implement permanent solutions using tools like Wireshark and advanced network monitoring platforms.
Automation: Drive automation strategies using scripting (Python, Bash) or
configuration management tools to streamline repetitive network tasks and

deployments.
Documentation & Compliance: Create and maintain comprehensive network
documentation, diagrams, configuration standards, and procedures. Ensure

adherence to security, regulatory, and compliance policies, and manage the

lifecycle and inventory of network devices, including VoIP phones.
Mentorship & Leadership: Act as a technical mentor and escalation point for
junior administrators, guiding them in best practices and complex troubleshooting.



What You'll Need...





Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science or a related field, with
equivalent experience considered.
Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet NSE, or equivalents. 4-8 years of hands-on experience in network administration or support. Strong expertise in LAN/WAN technologies, routing, switching (Cisco, HP,
Fortinet), and core network security principles.
Practical experience with firewalls (Fortinet, Meraki, Cisco) and VPN
technologies.
Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as PRTG and Nagios. Solid understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and load balancing. Exposure to cloud networking platforms (AWS, Azure) and SD-WAN solutions is
a plus.
Hands-on experience with VPN protocols (IPSEC, L2TP, OpenVPN), firewall
policy management, and network automation/scripting (Python, Bash).
Working knowledge of VoIP, wireless technologies, and VPN tunnels. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and structured problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced
environment.
Experience collaborating with international teams and communicating effectively
across time zones.
Flexibility to work shifts within a 24/7 operational setup.
